What are your Doubts Stopping you Doing?

“Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality.” ~ Marston
Have you ever wanted to start something and been stopped dead in your tracks by a nagging doubt? Was it something creative? A dream you always wanted to pursue? Or a career move, perhaps striking out on your own and being your own boss?
All too often we have a noble aspiration and see it shot down in flames before it even gets off the ground. The problem? Your doubts. Those lurking little negative beliefs the “buts” and “what ifs” the “I could nevers” and the “I’m no good ats”
One of my favourite self-help exercises is doubt busting. And one of my favourite tools for doubt bashing is, in case you haven’t already guessed, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Though to call EFT a doubt basher doesn’t really do it justice. The neat thing about EFT is that it silences the voice of doubt and lets your previous stifled resources shine through.
I’ve lost count of the times I’ve sat and listened to people change from statements of self-doubt like: “I’m just no good at…” to “Well, I suppose I could start with… – what’s the harm?” It’s hard to convey the shift in energy and enthusiasm I’ve witnessed in using EFT for self-help issues, for getting started on a dream project, or for setting and meeting goals…
I guess you’d have to try EFT and find out for yourself
